The president of Peru is like the boss of the country. Kind of like your teacher is in charge of your classroom, the president is in charge of the whole country.
They are elected by the people in a special vote called an election. This means that the people living in Peru get to choose who they want to be the president.
The president's job is to make sure that things are going well in the country. This means they’re responsible for making decisions that affect everybody in the country, like what things should be legal or illegal, how much money the government should spend on different things, and how to handle problems that come up like natural disasters or emergencies.
The president also works with other countries’ presidents to make sure that everyone is getting along good and can work together.
Being the president of Peru is a very important job, and it's a big responsibility to make sure that all Peruvians are safe and happy.
