ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Presidential Council for Civil Society and Human Rights

Okay, so you remember how in school we have a class president, right? They are the leader of the class and make sure everyone is happy and included. Well, the president of a country also has a group of people who help them make decisions about how to treat everyone fairly and nicely. This group is called the Presidential Council for Civil Society and Human Rights.

Now, civil society means all the people who aren't part of the government or big companies. They are regular people like you and me who like to help others and make things better in the world. Human rights are things that everyone should be able to have just because they are human, like the right to be safe and free.

The Presidential Council for Civil Society and Human Rights helps the president make sure that everyone in the country is being treated fairly and nicely. They talk to lots of different people to find out what problems they are having and how they can be solved. They then make recommendations to the president so that they can make changes that will help everyone in the country live happier lives.

So, it's kind of like having a group of really smart, caring friends who help the president make sure everyone is happy and included, just like a class president would do in school.
