ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Pressure-fed engine

Imagine you have a really big straw and you're trying to drink a really thick milkshake. You suck and suck but the milkshake doesn't come out easily because it's so thick. It's like trying to get ketchup out of a bottle that's almost empty.

Now imagine a rocket trying to push fuel into its engine. Just like the straw and the milkshake, the fuel can be thick and hard to push into the engine. That's where a pressure-fed engine comes in.

A pressure-fed engine uses something called a pressurized tank to push the fuel into the engine. Think of it like blowing really hard into the straw to try to get the milkshake out. The pressurized tank is like your cheeks when you're blowing, it builds up pressure to make the fuel go into the engine smoothly.

So instead of relying on the force of gravity or pumps to move the fuel, a pressure-fed engine uses a pressurized tank to push the fuel into the engine, making it go zoom!
