Primary Atomic Reference Clock in Space

So, you know how we use clocks to tell time? Well, scientists have made really special clocks called atomic clocks that use the vibrations of atoms to keep really, really accurate time.

The primary atomic reference clock in space is just like one of these special atomic clocks, but it's up in space instead of here on Earth. It's sent up there so that it can keep track of time really precisely without any interference from things on Earth like gravity, radiation, or changes in temperature.

Scientists use this space clock to help them test the theory of relativity, which is a fancy way of saying they're trying to learn more about how time, space, and gravity work together. It's a super important tool for helping us understand the universe better!
