ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Primary Reserve

"Primary reserve" is like a piggy bank your body has to keep you safe and healthy. Your body needs a lot of energy to do things like run, jump, and play with your friends. The food you eat gives your body the energy it needs, but sometimes there isn't enough.

So your body saves some of the energy it doesn't need right away in the "primary reserve" piggy bank. When you need a little extra energy later, your body can take it from the piggy bank instead of making you feel tired or weak.

The primary reserve piggy bank is different for everyone. Some people have bigger or smaller piggy banks depending on how much energy their body needs. But everyone has one, and it helps keep your body safe and healthy.
