Primary sector of the economy

Hey kiddo, do you know what the primary sector of the economy is? Well, it's a way to talk about the first and most important step of making things that people need and want.

Do you remember when we went apple picking? That was kind of like the primary sector! The farmer who grew the apples used land, sun, and water to help the apples grow. Then, they picked the apples and sold them to us. This is an example of the primary sector because the farmer used natural resources like land to produce something that we consume.

This sector of the economy includes lots of different activities, like farming, fishing, mining, and forestry. It's called "primary" because it's the foundation for all other industries. Without this sector, we wouldn't have the raw materials needed to make things like clothes, furniture or electronics.

So, just remember that the primary sector is all about harvesting or extracting natural resources to produce goods that we need and use every day.
