ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Priority (right of way)

When someone has priority, it simply means that they have the right of way. This means that if other people are around, they must wait for the person with priority to go first. For example, when you're walking across the street, cars always have the right of way, so you need to wait at the corner until all of the cars have gone by before you can cross. That's why it's so important to look both ways before you cross the street.
