Prison art

Prison art is when people who are in jail or prison make pictures or sculptures using things like paper, pencils, markers, or even things they find in their cells like toilet paper or soap.

In jail, people don't have many fun things to do, so some of them like to make art to pass the time. They draw pictures of things they like, such as their families or pets, or things they wish they could do like go to the beach. They might also paint pictures of their experiences in prison, like the inside of their cell or the people they met.

Sometimes, prisoners also make sculptures out of things like paper or clay. They might make animals or even people out of those materials. Prisoners make art for lots of reasons, but it can help them stay busy, feel more relaxed, and express their feelings. Some prisoners might even sell their art to people outside of jail.

Although prison art is a way for people in jail to express themselves, it's important to remember that they are still in jail for breaking the law. Also, not all prisons allow art materials in cells, so not everyone in jail can make art.
