Okay kiddo, have you ever talked to your friend about God or heard grown-ups talking about it? Sometimes it can be hard to understand what they mean because they use special words to describe God and their beliefs.
This is called the "problem of religious language". Basically, it means that it's hard to describe something that's so beyond our everyday experiences, like God, using regular words.
Think about the color red – it's pretty easy to describe to someone because we all know what that color looks like. But when we try to describe God or Heaven, it gets a little more complicated because we don't have any direct experience of them.
Some people think that religious language is just subjective, meaning it's different for each person and there's no right or wrong way to talk about it. Others say that it's impossible to have any real knowledge about God, so trying to describe it with language is pointless.
Either way, it's important to try our best to understand other people's beliefs and respect them, even if we don't agree with everything they say. And who knows – maybe one day we'll find the perfect words to describe the indescribable!
