Problem of the criterion

The "problem of the criterion" is a problem that has to do with how we decide what is true and what is not. Scientists use criteria, or sets of rules, to decide what is true and what is not. But sometimes it is hard to decide which criteria to use, since different criteria can lead to different conclusions. So, the problem is how to decide which criteria are the best ones to use.
