ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Procedural modeling

Procedural modeling is a way to create shapes, textures and other graphics in computer programs. It is a step-by-step process of instructions that can be used to generate 3D shapes, textures, landscapes, buildings and other images. It is like giving a set of instructions to the computer, so it knows what shapes to make and how they should look.
