Proforestation is when humans help plants grow. It means planting new trees in a place where there weren't any before. Planting new trees is important because trees produce oxygen, which helps us breathe, and they also provide homes for animals. Planting new trees also helps keep climate change under control by absorbing carbon dioxide, which is a gas that makes the earth warmer. And they help keep soil healthy so that we can grow food and flowers. In other words, proforestation helps us and the animals and plants around us to stay healthy!
