Prostration (Buddhism)

Prostration is a type of prayer that is used in Buddhism. It is a way of showing respect to someone you admire and have faith in. To do a prostration, you kneel down on the floor with your forehead touching the ground and your hands folded in front of you. This is done as a sign of reverence and humility. It is usually done three times to honor the Buddha, or the teacher in whose teachings you follow. By doing this, you are showing that you are a humble person and that you respect the teachings of the Buddha.
