Protestant theologies

Okay, kiddo! So you know how there are different types of churches, like the big ones we see on the street with the crosses on the top? Well, some of those churches believe in different things about God and how to worship Him. Some of these differences are called "Protestant theologies."

Protestantism started a long time ago in a place called Germany. Back then, there was one big church called the Catholic Church that everyone went to. But some people didn't agree with everything the church was doing, like selling "indulgences," which were like "get out of purgatory free" cards. So these people "protested" against the Catholic Church and started their own churches with their own ideas about how to worship God.

Now there are many different types of Protestant churches, and they believe different things. Some believe you need to read the Bible a lot and follow it exactly, while others believe faith in Jesus is the most important thing. Some churches think baptism is really important, while others don't. Some think singing and dancing in church is okay, while others think it's too distracting.

All of these differences are called "theologies," which is just a fancy word for "what people believe about God and religion." But even though they have different theologies, all of these churches still believe in Jesus and the Bible. They just have different ways of showing it!
