Proto-Celtic paganism

Proto-Celtic paganism was a belief system that some of the world's people followed a long time ago. These people were known as the Celts and were from an area that is now parts of Europe like Ireland, Scotland, and Wales.

The Celts believed in many different gods and goddesses who had powers in different areas like the sun or the sea. They also believed in spirits who lived in things like trees, rivers, and rocks. They thought that they could communicate with these spirits and ask them for help with things they needed like good weather for their crops or to keep them safe from danger.

The Celts also believed in an afterlife, which is like a magical place where people go after they die. They believed that the afterlife was like a paradise where they could be happy forever. They thought that if they lived a good life and followed the rules of their gods and goddesses, they would be able to go to this paradise after they died.

Most of what we know about proto-Celtic paganism comes from ancient texts and stories that have been passed down over many years. Even though many people don't follow this belief system anymore, it is still an important part of history and helps us understand how people used to think and live a long time ago.
