Pseudogap

Pseudogap is a strange thing that happens when two materials (like two different kinds of metal or two different kinds of crystals) are put together. Imagine that you have two pieces of paper and the two of them are not touching. Now, imagine that you put a little bit of water on the two pieces of paper. All of a sudden, the water will form something like a bridge between the two pieces of paper. That's like what happens when two materials are put together and form a pseudogap.
