ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Psychodynamics

Psychodynamics is a way of understanding and treating people who have emotional problems. It looks at how certain experiences, such as how people were treated as a child, can affect how they think and feel as an adult. It looks at how those experiences shape a person's relationships, how they make decisions, and how they respond to different situations. Psychodynamic therapy helps people to understand why they behave in certain ways and how to change negative behaviors. With the help of their therapist, the person learns to understand their own thoughts and feelings, so that they can better cope with their problems.
