Puberty blocker

Puberty blockers are medicines that help stop or slow down your body's changes during puberty. They can help you if you are feeling like the changes happening to your body don't match who you feel like you are. Taking puberty blockers stops your body from producing certain hormones (chemicals) that help your body start the process of developing into an adult. This can buy time until you and your parents can decide if you want to keep going through puberty or not. Taking puberty blockers is usually a safe, reversible process, so if you decide you do want to go through puberty after all, you can just stop taking the medicine and your body will resume normal puberty.
