Public Authority

Okay kiddo, imagine you're playing a game with your friends and you're the leader. You get to make the rules and tell everyone what to do. That's kind of like what public authority is.

In the real world, there are people who have the power to make important decisions and tell others what to do. These people are called public authorities. They might be in charge of things like cities, states or whole countries!

Public authorities are there to help make things better for people like you and your family. They make rules to keep you safe and healthy, take care of your community and make sure everyone has a fair chance to be happy and successful.

Sometimes, public authorities have to make tough decisions that not everyone will agree with but they do it because they think it's best for everyone. So, just like you listen to your parents or teacher, people in our community listen to public authorities to help things run smoothly and keep us all safe and happy.
