Public opinion on climate change

Climate change is when the Earth's temperature is getting warmer over time. People's opinions on climate change can vary, but generally most people agree that climate change is happening and that it is caused by people burning fossil fuels, which releases lots of carbon dioxide and other chemicals that make the temperature of the Earth warmer. People who believe climate change is happening often think humans need to take steps like using cleaner energy and reducing the amount of pollution we create, to prevent the Earth from getting too hot. Some people are uncertain about climate change and may think more research needs to be done before making decisions about reducing carbon dioxide.
