Pull-up (exercise)

Okay kiddo, have you ever seen someone hanging from a bar and lifting themselves up towards it? That's called a pull-up!

So, a pull-up is an exercise where you start at the bottom of the hanging position with your arms straight, and then use your arm and back muscles to pull your body upwards towards the bar until your chin is over the top of the bar. Then you go back down slowly until your arms are straight again, and that's one repetition or "rep" of the exercise.

It's a pretty tough exercise to do because it involves using a lot of different muscles all at once like your biceps, forearms, shoulders, back, and even your abs! But with practice and training, anyone can learn to do pull-ups and build up their strength.
