Pulp mill

A pulp mill is a factory where trees are turned into a special type of paper. It's like baking a cake, but instead of using flour and sugar, they use trees and chemicals!

First, big trucks bring lots and lots of trees to the pulp mill. Next, the trees are chopped up into tiny pieces and mixed with water. Then, the mixture is put into a big machine called a digester that heats it up and uses chemicals to break down the wood fibers.

Once the fibers are separated, they are bleached, cleaned, and pressed into big, flat sheets of paper called pulp. The pulp can be used to make all kinds of paper products, like napkins or toilet paper.

But before the pulp can be used, it has to go through a drying process. It's like taking a bath and then getting dry with a towel! The pulp is put into a machine called a dryer, where hot air blows on it until it's completely dry.

Finally, the pulp is ready to be made into paper products. It's shipped to other factories where it's turned into things like books, magazines, and paper plates.

So, a pulp mill is a big factory that makes a special type of paper by using trees, chemicals, and machines.
