Pulse wave

Okay kiddo, have you ever played with a slinky? When you stretch it and then let it go, it makes a wave that goes through the whole slinky, right?

Well, our bodies have something similar called pulse waves. They are little waves that go through our body when our heart beats. Our heart is like a pump, and it sends blood all over our body through pipes called blood vessels.

The pulse wave happens because when our heart beats, it creates pressure that pushes the blood along in the blood vessels. This pressure makes a little wave that travels through the blood vessels.

Doctors can measure the pulse wave by checking our pulse, which is the little thump-thump we feel in our wrist or neck. The pulse wave gives doctors important info about how healthy our heart is and how well our blood is flowing through our body.

So, just like a slinky wave, the pulse wave helps our body work properly. Cool, huh?
