Punk subculture

Punk is a type of music and a way of dressing and acting. It started in the 1970s as a way for young people to rebel against the grown-ups. People who are part of the punk subculture usually dress in the same style — like ripped jeans, leather jackets and shirts with punk band logos. They also listen to loud, fast, rebellious music like punk rock, hardcore punk and other types of punk music. Punk people are often very creative and often express their way of thinking through art and music. They often challenge the values of society and can challenge authority. Punk is a way of life for many people, and a way for them to stay connected and express themselves in a different way.
