Putinism

Putinism is a way of governing that is associated with Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia. Putinism means having a strong and powerful leader at the top who is in charge and gains more power over time. Putinism usually also involves controlling the media, trying to stay out of international conflicts and making sure Russia's economy is strong. It also involves supporting traditional values and strengthening the government's grip on power. Putin has been president of Russia since 1999 and has used his power to centralize control, impose strict rules, and create a climate of fear in order to maintain and increase his influence.
