Queen Maya

Okay kiddo, let's talk about Queen Maya. She was a very very special lady who lived a really long time ago in a place called ancient India. People called her a queen because she was married to a king, but that's not the only reason why she was special.

Now, the thing that made Queen Maya super special was that she was going to have a baby. And not just any baby, but a very very important baby. This baby was going to be a prince who would later become a super important teacher, and people would call him the Buddha.

But before the baby was born, Queen Maya had a very special dream. In her dream, a white elephant came and touched her tummy with its trunk. And this was a sign - a sign that she was going to have a very special baby.

And guess what? Queen Maya DID have a baby! She gave birth to a baby boy who was later named Siddhartha Gautama. And as he grew up, he became the Buddha and spent his whole life teaching people about being kind and peaceful.

So that's why Queen Maya was so special. She was the mother of a very very important person who did very good things for the world. And her dream was a sign that something very special and important was about to happen.
