Quixotism

Quixotism is when someone acts like the character Don Quixote from the famous book by Miguel de Cervantes. Don Quixote was a Spanish knight who thought he was a hero and went on adventures with his companion Sancho Panza to fight giants and monsters. When someone acts like Don Quixote, they are trying to do heroic things, even if their ideas are unrealistic and can't be done. Quixotism is like daydreaming - a person may have grand ideas that they can't fully achieve.
