Rösti

Ok kiddo, have you ever heard of a yummy dish called hashbrowns? Well, in Switzerland they have something called rösti that's like a big hashbrown pancake made with grated potatoes.

First, you take some raw potatoes and peel off the skin. Then you grate them into tiny pieces with a grater like we use for cheese.

Next, you put the grated potatoes in a hot frying pan with a little bit of butter or oil. You pat the potatoes down into a flat pancake shape and cook them until the bottom is crispy and golden brown.

Once the bottom is cooked, you flip the rösti over and cook the other side until it's crispy too.

You can eat rösti all by itself or you can add ingredients like cheese, bacon, or veggies to make it even more delicious. It's a popular dish in Switzerland and people love eating it for breakfast or as a side dish with meat or vegetables.
