ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

R.I.P. cartridge

Okay, so you know when you play games on your Nintendo or other video game system? Well, the games come in little plastic boxes called cartridges. Inside the cartridge, there's a special code that tells your game system what to do and how to make the game work.

But sometimes, the cartridge can get really old or damaged. Maybe you've dropped it or spilled something on it. When that happens, the code inside the cartridge can't be read by your game system anymore. It's like trying to read squiggly handwriting that you can't understand.

When a cartridge is "R.I.P.", it means it's not working anymore and can't be fixed. It's like saying goodbye to a really good toy that you can't play with anymore. It's the end of the line for that particular game. But don't worry, there are lots of other games out there to play!
