ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

R18 (British Board of Film Classification)

R18 is like a special, grown-up rating given to movies and videos in Britain. It means that only people who are 18 or older are allowed to watch them. That's because these movies can have really strong things in them, like lots and lots of bad language, or lots of scary, violent, or sexy scenes. So the R18 rating is there to make sure that young kids don't see things that might make them scared or confused, and might be too grown-up for them to understand. It's important to ask a grown-up if you're not sure if a movie or video is okay for you to watch!
