ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

RICS

RICS stands for Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. It's an organization that makes sure that the people who work in construction, property management, and land surveying are honest and trustworthy.

Think of it like a group of superheroes who want to make sure that all the buildings and land around us are safe and fair for everyone. They help people who need to sell or buy property, make sure that buildings are designed and built properly, and keep track of land ownership.

If someone wants to be a member of RICS, they have to pass some tests to prove that they know what they're doing. Once they become a member, they have to follow a set of rules called the "Code of Conduct". This code makes sure that they act with integrity, treat everyone fairly, and don't do anything sneaky or dishonest.

So, whenever you see the letters "RICS", you can think of it as a group of superheroes who are dedicated to making sure that everything we build and own is safe and fair for everyone.
