Race Across America

So, imagine you are in a race where you have to ride a bicycle from one end of America to the other. That's a really long way, right? It would take forever if you just rode normally. But what if you were competing in a race to see who could do it the fastest?

That's what Race Across America is! It's a really, really long bike race where people ride from the west coast of America to the east coast as fast as they can. They ride through mountains, across deserts, and through cities. And they do it all in a row, without stopping for too long.

These bike riders are really strong and have been practicing for a long time. They have to eat a lot of healthy food to keep their energy up, and they have to drink lots of water to stay hydrated. They also wear special bike clothes and helmets to keep them safe.

The race is really long, so the riders can't do it all by themselves. They have a team of people who follow them in a car, giving them food, water, and encouragement along the way. The team also helps make sure the rider doesn't get lost on the way!

The winner of the race is the person who gets to the other side of America the fastest. But even if someone doesn't win, it's still really impressive that they were able to ride their bike all the way across the country.
