Racial quota

Hey there kiddo! Today we are going to talk about something called a "racial quota." You know how sometimes when you play a game, you have to make sure everyone gets a turn? That's kind of like a quota.

In some places, like school or work, people try to make sure that everyone has equal opportunities to learn or work. Unfortunately, in the past some groups of people were treated unfairly just because of the color of their skin. This is called discrimination and it's not fair.

To make things more fair, people came up with the idea of a "racial quota." This means that they try to make sure that a certain number of people from different racial or ethnic backgrounds are included.

For example, if a school has a lot of white students but not many students of other races, they might try to include more students of different races. This way everyone gets a chance to learn and it's fair for everyone.

It's important to remember that this doesn't mean that someone gets chosen just because of their race. They still have to be qualified and meet the same requirements as everyone else. It just means that they are giving everyone a fair chance.

So that's the idea behind a racial quota. It's all about making things fair for everyone and including people from different backgrounds.
