Radcliffe Line

The Radcliffe Line was a line drawn on a map by British officials in 1947. It separated India and Pakistan, two countries created when British India was divided. India was given to Hindu people and Pakistan was given to Muslim people. The line was named after Sir Cyril Radcliffe, the person who drew it! It showed the borders between the two countries and showed which areas were now part of India and which were part of Pakistan.
