Radical democracy

Radical democracy means that everyone gets a say in making decisions about how things are run. It's called "radical" because it goes beyond regular democracy, where people vote for leaders who then make decisions for everyone else. Instead, in radical democracy, everyone gets a say in every decision that’s made.

Imagine you and your friends are really tired of your teacher choosing what games you play during recess. So you all decide to have a meeting and take a vote on what game you want to play each day. In a regular democracy, maybe only the popular kids or those who speak up the most get to choose the game. But in radical democracy, everyone gets to vote and be heard. That way, everyone's ideas and choices are respected and included.

People who believe in radical democracy think that when everyone gets a say, it leads to better decisions that are fair and representative of everyone. It's like making sure all voices are heard and considered before making a choice, so everyone feels included and valued.
