You know how cars need gas to move? Trains need fuel, too. But the fuel trains use can be very bad for the air we breathe.
Railpower Technologies makes trains that have something very special called hybrid engines. These hybrid engines use something called batteries to help the train move instead of only using fuel.
So, when the train is going up a hill, the battery helps it go faster and use less fuel. And when it's going down the other side of the hill, it actually stores the extra energy in the battery so that it can use it later!
These hybrid engines make the trains much cleaner than regular trains because they don't pollute the air as much. And that's really good for the earth!
