Raj of Sarawak

They were kind of like a king, but they had to follow the rules of the British government because Sarawak was a part of the British Empire. Being the Raj of Sarawak meant that they were in charge of protecting the people who lived there and making sure everyone was safe and happy.
Eventually, the Brooke family gave up being the Raj of Sarawak, and today, there is no Raj anymore. But people still remember the Brooke family and they still talk about the Raj of Sarawak as an important part of their history.
