ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Range condition scoring

Okay kiddo, so "range condition scoring" is when we look at a bunch of different things and rate them on a scale. Let's say we're looking at some toys, like dolls and action figures. We might rate them from 1 to 10, with 1 being really bad condition and 10 being brand new.

Now, we want to see how good the condition is of all the toys we have. So we go through each one and rate them on our 1 to 10 scale. We might say the Barbie doll is a 9 because she looks pretty new, but the Batman action figure is a 3 because he's missing an arm.

Once we've rated all the toys, we can see which ones are in the best condition overall. This can help us decide which toys are worth keeping or selling to someone else.

Range condition scoring can be used for things other than toys too, like cars or houses. It's just a way to rate things and compare them to each other.
