Rape by gender
Rape is when someone does something bad to another person's body that they don't want. It's like breaking into someone's house without permission, but instead of going into their house, it's going into their body. It's very, very bad and wrong to do.
Sometimes when people talk about rape, they talk about it happening more to women than to men. This means that girls and ladies are more likely to have someone do something bad to their bodies without their permission than boys and men.
But that doesn't mean that boys and men can't be raped too - just like girls and women can do bad things to boys and men without their permission. It's never okay for someone to touch another person's body without their permission, no matter what their gender is. Everyone deserves respect and safety.
