Rape in India is when someone forces another person to do something sexual without their consent. This means that they are not able to say 'yes' to the activity and the other person makes them do it anyway. This is a very serious crime that has very serious consequences in India. People who are found guilty of rape can go to jail for a very long time. It is also illegal to marry someone who has been raped.
