ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Rasta (Mandaeism)

Rasta is a way of life that originated in Jamaica, which is a country in the Caribbean. It is a religion that follows the teachings of Haile Selassie I, who was a king in Ethiopia.

Rastafarians believe that Haile Selassie I is a messiah and they worship him as a divine figure. They also believe in living a peaceful and sustainable life, avoiding violence and drugs, and promoting equality and justice for all people.

Mandaeism, on the other hand, is a religion that originated in Iraq and is based on the teachings of John the Baptist. It is a monotheistic religion, which means that they believe in one God.

Mandaeans believe in living a pure life and following a moral code that is based on honesty, compassion, and respect for others. They also believe in the ritual purification of the body and soul through water baptism.

Although Rasta and Mandaeism may seem different, they share common values such as living a peaceful life, respecting others, and striving for a better world.
