Rationing in the Soviet Union was a system used to make sure that people had enough food, clothing, and other things. It worked by giving everyone a specific amount of money monthly that could be used to buy certain items. People would have to wait in long lines to get the most important items like bread and milk. By rationing, the Soviet Union could make sure its citizens had enough food and other vital items.
