Raw material

Raw materials are materials or substances used to make something else. They are usually natural materials like wood, cloth, and metal, but they can also be made from chemical substances. For example, paper is made from wood pulp, a material that is created by breaking down plant fibers. plastic is made from petroleum. To make something, different raw materials are often combined to form a new final product. An example of this could be furniture, which might be made from wood and metal parts.
