Reading (process)

Reading is a process where your eyes take in letters and words on paper or on a screen, and your brain understands what those words mean. When you see a group of letters that look like a word, your brain recognizes them and knows what those letters mean. Then it takes those words and puts them together in your head so that you can understand the whole thing. It's like putting together a jigsaw puzzle. Your brain pieces all of the words together so that you understand the story or the information you are reading.
