ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Reasoning system

Okay little one. A reasoning system is kind of like a puzzle solver. Just like how you put together a puzzle by connecting the pieces that fit together, a reasoning system connects information to help solve problems.

For example, let's say you want to figure out what animal your friend is thinking about. Your reasoning system will ask questions about the animal, like "does it have fur?" or "does it swim in the water?" and use the answers to narrow down the possibilities until it figures out what animal your friend is thinking about.

But a reasoning system can also be used for more complicated problems like predicting the weather or figuring out the best route to take on a road trip. It uses rules, data and algorithms to make predictions and aid decision making.

So, in short, a reasoning system helps solve problems by connecting information and using logical thinking to find the best solution.
