Reboost

Okay kiddo, let's imagine you're playing a game where you need to throw a ball really high to make it go far. But after a while, the ball starts falling down and won't go as far anymore.

That's kind of like what happens with satellites in space. They need to stay up high to do their job, but eventually they start falling back down towards earth.

Now imagine you have a friend who can throw the ball really high again for you so it can keep going far. In space, NASA has a special ship called a "reboost vehicle" that can do the same thing for satellites.

So when a satellite is starting to fall back down towards earth, the reboost vehicle gives it a little extra push to get it back up high again. That way the satellite can keep doing its job and we can all keep using things like GPS and satellite TV.
