ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Redwood National and State Parks

Redwood National and State Parks are a really big outdoor place with super tall trees called redwoods. The redwoods are the biggest trees in the world! Imagine a giant being the size of a building - that's how big the redwoods are!

The parks are a place where people go to visit and have fun outside. You can hike on trails, which means you can walk on paths through the woods to see the trees up close. You might even see animals like bears, deer, or elk! But don't worry, they're usually friendly and won't hurt you as long as you give them space.

People also like to camp in the parks, which means they bring a tent or RV and stay overnight. Imagine having a sleepover in the woods! You can cook food over a campfire and enjoy the peacefulness of nature.

The parks also have rivers and beaches where you can fish, swim, or build sandcastles. But be careful, the water can be cold!

Overall, Redwood National and State Parks are a really neat place where you can enjoy the great outdoors and see some of the biggest trees in the world!
