ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Reflectivity

Reflectivity is when something bounces light back. Think of it like when you throw a rubber ball at a wall—the ball bounces back. The same thing happens when light touches a reflection. A reflection has the ability to reflect light back in the direction it came from. This is called reflectivity. Some surfaces are more reflective than others. For example, a mirror reflects almost all of the light that hits it, while a piece of paper reflects only a small amount of the light.
