Refrigerant

Refrigerant is a special substance that is used to make things cold. Just like how ice makes your lemonade cold, refrigerant helps make things like air conditioners and refrigerators cold.

Refrigerant is like a magic liquid that can change into a gas and then back into a liquid again really easily. When it changes into a gas, it absorbs heat from whatever it’s cooling down. Then when it changes back into a liquid, it releases that heat. That’s why you feel hot air coming out of the back of a refrigerator or air conditioner. It’s the heat that was absorbed from inside the fridge or room.

Refrigerant is really important because it helps keep things cool that we need to stay fresh or comfortable, like food and air. But it’s also important to use the right kind of refrigerant and to dispose of it properly because some types can harm the environment. So, we should be careful and follow the rules when we use and get rid of refrigerant.
