ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Registered Traveler

Hello there! Do you know how sometimes you have to wait in a long line when you go to the airport, just to show your ID and go through security? Well, a registered traveler program is a special program that helps certain people skip the long line and go through security faster.

People who join the program give some personal information and pay a fee. Then, when they go to the airport, they get to use a special line that is usually much shorter. They still have to go through security, but it might be faster because they don't have to wait in the big long line.

Not everyone can join the registered traveler program – usually, you have to be a frequent traveler or meet other special requirements. This program doesn't mean that you get to skip all the airport rules or that you're never checked again, but it can make the airport process faster and easier.
